Spring Party | In the News
On Saturday, April 29, 2017 the Wayland Public Schools Foundation (WPSF) held their annual “Spring Fling” fundraiser at The Weston Golf Club. More than 230 Wayland residents came together to raise money for all five Wayland schools through a live and silent auction and, thanks to the overwhelming generosity of those who participated in our auction, we were thrilled to exceed our fundraising goals for the event. Along with Wayland families, Superintendent Dr. Paul Stein, Middle School Principal Betsy Gavron and Assistant School Principals George Benzie and Heidi Paisner-Roffman supported the event and Wayland resident John Boyle served as EMCEE and auctioneer. Funds raised from the event will be used to fund grants submitted by teachers and staff at Happy Hollow, Claypit Hill, Loker, Wayland High School, and Wayland Middle School.
The WPSF is grateful to all the families and local businesses who, through their donations, are helping educators bring innovative, cutting-edge programs to our schools. Since its inception in 1983, the Wayland Public Schools Foundation, a parent volunteer organization, has awarded more than $3 million in grants.
