What We Do
WPSF has established a tradition of innovation in our schools by funding grant proposals submitted by Wayland teachers and staff for cutting-edge programs that would otherwise go unfunded. Often we provide the seed money for new teaching approaches that take root and spread to other classrooms. This is possible only through generous community support of our Annual Appeal, Fall Party, HATS Off Teacher Appreciation Program and Annual Elementary School Spelling Bee.
Our impact on Wayland's Schools
Since 1983, WPSF has raised $1.7 million for 500 teacher grants. With school budgets under continual pressure, WPSF's grants are increasingly important to maintaining the tradition of excellence in Wayland classrooms. Your donations improve the quality of classroom instruction by funding:
- • new curriculum, materials and professional development across all subjects
- • essential equipment for science labs, foreign language labs, physical education and the arts
- • live performances, workshops and multicultural programs
