SEE THE HEAT! | Wayland Middle School

SEEHEAT1.jpg

This grant funded 12 thermal imaging cameras for the 6th grade science program at Wayland Middle School. Currently the students are learning about heat energy yet they are typically unable to “see” the unseen heat from the infrared radiation. With the use of thermal imaging cameras, the students will analyze how and when the heat is released as a byproduct from a chemical reaction or during energy transformations. This will open up different avenues of learning, especially for visual learners.
