REVISING THE WRITER-LEAD WRITING WORKSHOP | Wayland Elementary

What does my donation to the Wayland Public Schools Foundation do for our schools? A grant was awarded to Wayland teachers Jennifer Sole-Robertson and Christina Pimentel for a writing workshop entitled “Revising the Writer” with author Gregory Mone. This interactive workshop was held at all 3 elementary schools this Fall and here is some direct feedback: “Every student was captivated and engaged with Mr. Mone, even reluctant writers”; "His revision techniques have continued to be implemented in our narrative writing unit. We even talk about 'pulling a Gregory Mone' as we are writing as a way of learning to replace boring words, to use descriptive language, enhance settings, etc”; “He was inspiring from a teachers standpoint, and I was able to take-away language to use while teaching writing”.
